Use of Solar Cells to Generate Electricity
Preliminary studies performed by the author on potential nonfossil energy sources such as biomass, photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine, and ocean wave indicate that solar cell technology has zero greenhouse effects and is considered the most environmentally friendly source of generating electrical energy. The studies further indicate that a constant source of generating electrical energy with moderate costs is possible through the deployment of wind turbines and PV technology. Significant reduction in greenhouse effects is the major design consideration in the selection of alternate energy sources.
